Fall Break 2019 - 30A

We have a routine of summer on the East Coast at Seabrook Island and then fall break on the Gulf somewhere on 30A.   We love when others go with us.   This year Mulvaney's went again.   It was wonderful.   The kids are older and more independent, we snagged a 12 mine bike ride one day and several mines another, lots of coffee and this year we did go to the beach (last year we had Red Tide that created an issue).

Friends are priceless!   We are thankful for these moments!

A new tradition -  morning walk to the beach as adults to enjoy our coffee and quiet.   Retirement will look so good one day!

Last night swimming with glow sticks!

Seaside Market (6 mile one way bike ride).

Family is everything!   As the girls grow these times away to relax and disconnect are even more important.

Blue Mountain Creamery Ice Cream (we only managed one night this year!)

"mini Bella" at the market the girls loved!

Other fun moments!
Loaded up and ready to head to the beach.  But first... Donuts!
We now have to have trees to hang hammocks every time!

Fun time riding bikes!

Chanticleer Eatery has the best cookies!   yes... 3 dozen to go!  We did not eat them all at one time!

Destin Walmart Airbush is a tradition!   The owner is fabulous!  He photo bombed the picture but how perfect.

 Sweet pics of the girls!
a little excited for the beach!

This girl moved the sand more than the waves...until the last day when she was all about the big waves!

Boshamps dinner and she was done!

We have a teenager!

they loved to catch crabs.  We did find you can do it in the morning as well when they are coming out of the sand.  Seems to be harder!

Until next year!...... we miss the palm trees, beach, ocean, and most of all the time away with no schedules to contend with!

September Recap: Weekend get away, Maggie's 10th Birthday, and Fall activities

Bella has been with us officially 5 years.  She is a mess and we love her!  She has brought so much joy to your family and taught the girls so much along the way.  Happy Gotcha Day B-Dog!

Goodness.... how 5 years changes us!

Early September we took a few day away from the office and the routine of two girls (thank you to Grammy and Papa for loving them well) and enjoyed some rest and relaxation with the Bowen's.   We went to Highlands NC for a spa weekend at Old Edwards Inn.  We also did a little shopping, ate great food and relaxed by the pool. Time with my love away is hard to come by some days and we were thankful for the time to go.   We are also thankful for good friends that become family along the way that can relax in the quiet, share stores and laugh until it hurts!   Our prayer for the girls is for these types of friends!   Cherish them.  Invest in them!

this made me laugh!   Instead of "do not disturb"....

Maggie time!   We celebrated 10 years with this girl!

Swim meets are not always the most fun.... especially when Mom makes you read.  So we did mix in a little  down time.

swim meets are better when you have your cousins there to cheer you on!
sleepover with cousins after a swim meet means you rest up in the car!

Just some other pieces of life thee days!
Ellie and Gracie!
This booger!   We love him!

when Mommy gets a convertible rental car we must go for a test drive with the top down!

We are so thankful for these ladies and their friendship (Lauren, Gracie, and Autumn)

Jimmy has enjoyed the hiking small group!

Mulvaney and Martin biking day!   The weather changed our plans and we punted on the Virginia Creeper (we will reschedule) but we did manage a bike ride in Cleveland than a day back at the house to swim, play laser tag, and watch football.
