October 2020 Recap: Fall Break at 30A, embracing the moments that are just as special at home, and Gracie's knee decisions!

Fall break this year was just what we needed.  While Jimmy and I had been out to Jackson Hole the girls have not been on a trip outside of a quick Summer trip to Ohio to see my family home before they sold it.    So this was a big trip for all of us and much needed too!

Night 1- Let vacation begin!

First morning out exploring

My handsome love!

Lunch at Boshamps before some shopping

We had some time in Destin so we did a little outlet shopping

Twins in so many ways!  (Maggie has a matching shirt but did not want to match)

With the girls all older and able to be home without us AND the fact that they sleep in and enjoy their own quiet mornings, the adults take our coffee and chairs down to the beach to start our day!

Beach days are the best days!!!

Looking for crabs at night.  It was so cold!!!

Vacations with family and friends is so special!

Reading his one book for the year!

A little rest after the beach!

A smile even thought she started to not feel good!

Final night on vacation and we got dressed out of swim suits for the annual dinner to Boshamps in Destin then to have their souvenirs airbrushed.  The night requires lots of pictures!

Find other couples to do life with!

And just like that the week was over and we headed home.

Gracie several years ago was struggling with her right knee and we expected that with PT and growth she would outgrow it.  Fast forward to this year it became more of an issue and began to limit her activity.   After a follow up apt, an MRI and the review of the results we are now scheduled for surgery on December 17th.

MRI ready!

simple terms- her knee cap is flailing due to a flat knee socket and has grown to where it is dislocated the majority of the time.

Late start mornings and doctor acts usually mean a breakfast date together!

Home is a great place to be!

Even the dog thinks so!

Mini Me!

She made pumpkin pie with Gjysh and KK

Coffee run to the new DD before church

She had outgrown her bike on vacation so it was time to upsize!  She was one happy Doodle!

New glasses!  She is looking so grown up.

Sunday Snuggles!

We ended the month with a fun weekend out to lunch and a visit to the Mercer Apple Orchard in Blue Ridge GA.  The girls really were excited for fall this year and enjoyed the apple store (u pick was not an option this year).

Bella went along for the ride and then we stopped by some friends property.
