The baby of the family seemed quite settled and okay with the new school routine!

Daddy is the teacher / homework helper at our home!  I am so thankful for his patience and gift of teaching with our girls.

Seabrook Island 2018 Family Vacation

This year was the year for the Martin beach trip, however due to Papa being the hospital when we had planned to go and the challenge of multiple families schedules we did not all have an opportunity to rebook.     So, we went later in the summer with just our family of four.  This was the first vacation we have done without family or friends.    It was a wonderful experience.     Even with the forecast of rain we were excited to have the time to rest and relax and were hopeful we would get time at the beach and pool.  It was a great week!

We spent time at the beach or the pool every day, did bike riding, fed the horses, spent some rainy time inside watching an old show "Family Matters", enjoyed a Java Java or two, nd enjoyed some good food.

A few funny things from the week:
-- Most used statement "lets see what the radar shows".  Given the rain and storms off and on, we checked often to plan the day.
-- Maggie at dinner she ordered "I would like the kids fried shrimp with a side of shrimp".   That girl! She loves her some fried shrimp.
-- The Tahoe has a WIFI hot spot which was great for the trip with music, videos, and games.   Maggie when we hit a dead spot assumed the rest of us were taking all the capacity "you are using all the WIFI".

Packed up... first stop drop the puppy off!
a few groceries.   We learned this year to pack light!! ha

this never gets old!
First night on the beach!

We spent many days like this.... resting and a Java Java frozen Mocha.

This girl loves her coffee!

of course we got some horse time in!

Maggie being funny with Daddy!  She loved this place!!  Fried shrimp every night! (almost)

Maggie spent a lot of time in the sand playing.  She can entertain herself for hours.  As extroverted as she is, she does appreciate time solo.

and just like that the week was over.

Friends and Family!

OHIO WEDDING:  My cousin Tyler got married in July which gave my brother and me the opportunity to travel together.  We flew up for a quick weekend.  We made so many memories which included a long delayed flight in Charlotte!  But we loved being home and celebrating!

Here we go...

The wedding was at the same church my parents got married in 40 years ago.

I sure love my family!

our favorite treat before we head to the airport to head back to our families!

Ahh, such a sweet gift from my brother to remember such a memorable trip due to a long log day spent in the Toledo and Charlotte airport.
COUSINS and GRANDPARENTS!   We love time with Ellie and Silas and when my parents come in town its always extra special.

This boy turned two!!

FRIENDS!
Addison and Maggie spent the weekend together when our schedules finally matched up.  We love these two.

Lucy spent time off and on over at our house this summer while her house was being renovated.  We love these two girls and their smiles!

A DAY WELL SPENT:   we enjoyed a day on the river tubing together with the Mulvaney and Potts families.
Small group friends -- since the littles were babies!

these girls are growing so fast.

The crew (Brandon was there too but managed to not get in the group pic)

The bigs!
AND SOME PICS JUST BECAUSE!

I promise she shared this and did not eat it all.  She is growing into a beautiful young lady.

Mommy Maggie date morning at the bucks!   She no longer looks like a little girl.  She is goring into a  mature lady!

yep, we love a good homemade chocolate shake!

just because!
Leanring to eat chicken wings like her Daddy!  She sure cleans the bone well.

Slime... I have no words!  She loves it.  I hate it!   It makes her smile and that makes me smile!
