We went old school....roller skating

I am more and more aware of how quickly my girls are turning into young ladies.  Gracie looks more like a teenager with each passing day and Maggie looks like an older elementary student not a "little girl".   I catch me self thinking "where does the time go?" and yet looking forward to the coming years.   I love the space we are in with them right now.   Yes we have drama and fighting which requires more grace and patience than quite honestly give some days.  But there are so many sweet moments of playing games, giggling, dreaming of our next trip together and where we want to explore and expense together, and snuggles in bed sometimes talking, praying and sometimes saying nothing at all.

A few funny things to capture:
--Gracie was working on her vocabulary words practicing spelling and definitions which required her to use them in a sentence.  One was "injustice".   Maggie said quick;y  " that is easy.  'i go shopping in justice'".

This weekend we had the Smiths over to spend the weekend and celebrate Andersen's birthday.   He wanted to go skating.   All of us got out there but Jimmy.  He said he enjoyed watching.

I am sure I was more graceful in my youth!

January that feels like May

When my parents are in i love when I get the pictures from my Dad's camera.  They are always the best!   They sent a few from when they were in.  Yes, the girls were in the pool   It was still very cold to me, but they loved the chance to swim.  They are beyond excited to spend summer out there.   At some point soon I will do a recap of the pool construction process.   We are so pleased with it, but it has felt like it took a year (just really over 2 months) but the yard is still a mess.

Love their expressions!

The littles decided to push G in!

Just because.... love this spunky one!

My Star Wars girls!

Me and my girl!
Sunday we ventured to the hardware store to get pool salt!  It needed several bags!

We had a fun week.   Jimmy traveled a few days and we had Tag for a few with us.  The girls love when Tag gets to come over.  Maggie said "Tag is like the little brother we never got to have".

Uno Spin is one of our current favorite games

Who does not love some Bella snuggles!

The week at school was spirit week.   We had fun dressing up.   I told the girls I was very proud of them for pulling together their outfits without much cost and relatively independent.

Decade day!

This weekend I was at a Women's Conference with our church.  It was a great time to spend with friends and be challenged to spend more time in His Word!

These ladies are so special to me!  They are my small group ladies and sweet friends.  Sarah, me, Ashely, and Becca! (minus one Kristina, we missed you!)

This flashback photo from 5 years ago popped up Saturday on my Facebook and we decided we must get an updated picture and one of the sisters too!

2017 Snow Storm

Last weekend the girls were dismissed on Friday early due to projected snow.  They woke up Saturday to a light layer that required some time funded up to play!   It was not much, but it looks pretty and provided for a low key weekend at home.
Light dusting before bed

The pool looks pretty (and still shows the work to be done)

biggest ice ever!

Gracie, Maggie, Logan, and Maggie at church on a cold day!
Maggie's pallet expander has worked great and we are no longer having to turn it, however Dr. Dyer wanted to have two teeth pulled.  She was a trooper and did great!
Daddy took her and said she did great!

a Milk and Honey chocolate shake before going to school

No week is complete without Bella snuggles!

Mom and Dad were in town this weekend.  Wee loved the family filled weekend  Somehow I did not manage to get many pictures, but a few to capture the fun weekend.   We will take any family time we can get.

Time at the playground.   Look at that smile!
