Back to routine!

This week was the first week of summer camp.   Gracie said "the summer feels so long already".

My two loves PreK graduation picture

Maggie has graduated into a booster from her car seat.  This means we no longer have a car seat that we have had for the past 9 years!    She was a little excited!

second day of summer camp in the books and one tired girl!

Maggie woke up early morning and we pulled her in bed.   I am not as ridged as I once use to be.   I will take any chance to snuggle.

she was all over the bed!

Saturday breakfast made with Daddy on the porch!
Uncle Jimmy and Ellie!

all three girls with Jimmy

Happy girl!
Tired swim girl

Funny look by Maggie!

Maggie, Gracie and Ellie movie night complete with popcorn!
We have a few big things we are praying for guidance, direction and patience!   The patience in timing is the hardest for me!

School's Out!

Sunday Pic

Sweet sisters!

Doodle

Mommy Loves
This week we wrapped up school which included an in class presentation by the whole class.  Gracie was a puppy (hence the doggie ears).    It was an easy week with no exams, lots of play time, and lots of hugs goodbye to sweet teachers and friends  I must admit I get a little sad to see the year go by and have to say goodbye to the teachers who invested so much into their lives to see them grow and develop.    We are blessed.

Both girls in dog ears (pig tails)

Bella early morning snuggles

Last day of school.  We now have a daughter in 4th grade and K!

Gracie with Ms. Gordon.   She was wonderful!

The dynamic duo with Maggie!  Her teachers tackled PreK for the first time and did a fabulous job!

Maggie and Lana Kate one of her sweet friends this year.

Tyler, Maggie and Addison.  They have been tighter sine they were babies!

We wrapped up school on Friday which was half day with lunch at Taco Mama with Addison and her mommy.   Then of course Milk and Honey for a treat!
Ready for lunch.  School is officially over!

Addison and Maggie!

a sweet treat!

Pinch me, only two more years of lower school!
As we were juggling the past few weeks activities we received a sweet email from Maggie’s teacher describing her.  “  Maggie made me laugh yesterday afternoon--said very animatedly and with many gestures:  "Mrs. Wieldraayer,!  Today I go to cooking class, and tomorrow I will go through the carpool line.   Does this make sense?!"

Swim team began this past week and both girls are on the team.  Gracie is a pro after last summer and Maggie is learning quickly.  I am so glad both girls enjoy the water and swimming
First practice

Looking like a pro

She's off!  When she got to the other side she said "Mommy I my legs are tired but I just keep kicking.  I am on swim team!"

Listening to Coach Logan.

When Jimmy got home and we packed we headed to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a fun weekend away with the Martin family!   We have been counting down to this for several months now.  Its a great way to start our summer.    I described the weekend like this on Facebook “Nothing better than a family weekend away with no commitments other than to fully embrace the time and laugh as much as possible.”. And laugh we did.   We had a great time together.    We did a little shopping, eating, putt putt, and Tank Town USA!

Enjoying the ride to the mountains

We made it...we are at ate top!   The drive way looked steep.   Jimmy was just teasing, we could drive up it.

First night in town

Playing around while Jimmy and Aunt Tammy figured out dinner

Dinner!!!!   It was so yummy!    Grammy (and about half of the table) ordered fried chicken.  It was delicious!

Day 2 ready to shop and enjoy the town

Papa getting snap!
Oops!  A flat tire (the big joke is the last trip we went on with Aunt Tammy was had to get snow chains due to snow and that was a disaster!)
Yep, a little flat.

Maggie went to get snacks!

an afternoon nap sounded great!

Maggie fell asleep while we drove to putt putt.  She was gone!

Bring it...the Martin family is very competitive!

We all got into picking our balls out

Grammy and Papa

My crew.  Yes, it was very cold out we all had our jacks on (and I had to stop at Walmart to get pants for Maggie)

G's first time

Ally, Grammy and Gracie

We had to much fun playing together!
This one slept the whole time!  Grammy and I took turns snuggling her on the bench.
Day 2 morning snuggles (and coffee made by Uncle Joey)

We were ready for our day at Tank Town!

These three are so sweet together!

Checking it all out!

Maggie was too young to ride (she had to be 7) but she had just as much fun as all of us!
Girls are made to play in the dirt too....and play in the dirt we did!

My girls

Papa was ready to drive with Jimmy and Gracie as passangers

Gracie chose the top spot for her ride

Grammy hanging with Maggie

This girl!

Maggie got to see inside while the driving was done

yes...lots of playing in the dirt

Classic Maggie look

And a classing Gracie look

Papa and the girls watching as Daddy dug in the dirt

Yes more playing in the dirt.  I love that dirty little bottom!

What fun.  Jimmy always has said for one day he would like to play in the dirk.  So while he did not do it all day, he sure had fun while he did!

My love!

Papa surprised the girls and climbed in

Daddy decided he was not going to miss out

Oops, Maggie fell and scraped her eye pretty good

snuggling on an ice pack

ok, and getting a treat too!  Aunt Tammy got her all settled.

a Martin trip is never complete without a VERY competitive game of dominos.   yes, we had boxes between to protect the view of our tiles!
What a fabulous weekend together!  We are looking forward to the next trip together!
