Field Day 2017 and Believe Bash

We are embracing the last few weeks of the year which alway come with some fun events.   One of our favorites is Teacher Appreciation Week specifically flower day.   I always take in decorated jars for their flowers to be placed in.

As Maggie was leaving gymnastics the rainbow appeared.

Gracie loves to do her own nails.

Jimmy was able to get the Lookouts First Tennessee box tickets on Tuesday.   So the we took the girls and our friend Sarah (Mr. Mark had to work!) with us.

Maggie said "look I am the ball"

Field day fun.   It is hard to believe this was Gracie's last field day.   It is bitter sweet to think through all the lasts we will have with her this year and embrace middle school in the fall.

Gracie is a fast runner!

Maggie enjoyed her laps

It was Mommy's year to come to field day!   I love these girls!

We always end with tug-o-war

Lunch with friends at Taco Mama!

These two!  Lucy and Gracie have such a sweet friendship!

After field day and on Saturday we were found in the pool!

Silas first swim in our pool.  He was a happy boy!

Aunt Katelyn and Uncle Gabe know how to pick gifts that are pretty awesome!  Thanks for the floats from Christmas!

Jimmy and I attended the Believe Bash Saturday night.   It as a benefit dinner for the new/ expanded TC Thompson Children's Hospital.   It as a cool even at the airport hanger.  First Tennessee was the sponsor and we were able to see some friends that were also attending.

We were ready!   I think this is the first time we were both dressed this formal since our own wedding! (since Jimmy's in a tux and bow tie!  He sure pulled it off well!)

I wanted a drink after we did pictures before we headed to the bash.

Jay, Cynthia, me and Jimmy.   Jay and Jimmy work together (RM/ PM) and are on the work rewards trips with us.   We toured a few of the private jets!

LifeForce.   We always pray this is never needed, however if it is what a gift to have them so close in our city!

What a fun night!

Celebrating Gracie's Birthday in Atlanta!

We started last year in place of a party and gifts letting the girls pick a fun weekend getaway and activities.   We have limited it to driving distance thus far, although the request to fly to Chicago this year did come up.   We were able to snag the bank rate to stay at the Ritz.  Gracie since they picked me up there several years ago from a work trip has asked to stay at the "grownup hotel".

Del Taco was her request for dinner on our way down to Atlanta.

they were a little excited!

Hotel play time!   It was fun to hear them as we drive through Atlanta their comments on the large buildings.    Especially given since they were born we have drive to Atlanta frequently to visit family.

Birthday girl!

Exploring the city

Breakfast at the hotel!

a little coffee to start your day!

We started the morning with Skyview.   It was so fun!

o to freeze time right here.   These smiles make all the hard moments worth it all.

A short walk to World of Coke.

You grab a Coke at the bar as you walk through.

We told them it was Gracie's birthday trip.  They sang to her!   It was priceless.  She was embarrassed but loved it!

My crew!  How I love them!

Maggie's comment"look at the naked Coke"

We had fun in the tasting room... but they were not all as yummy as the ones we drink in the United States.

Convincing Daddy to try one!

We walked to the Varsity for lunch.  It was a bit of a walk.  The girls did great!

By the walk back to the hotel we were a little tired so we stopped for a break.   Yes.... SunTrust headquarters were the perfect spot.

The hotel Candy Bar was out when we got back so we snagged some candy for later (and maybe some before we headed out to our next adventure).

We drive to Fernbank Natural History for some outdoor walking and then inside science.

Hands down one of my favorite pictures!   It captures how much she loves her Daddy and leans on him.

one of the best exhibits!

Dinner was at Maggianos.    Gracie and I wee suppose to share the cheesecake, but she ate most of it and even snagged the best bite at the end with the yummy crust!

Papa was out of town and Aunt Tammy's crew had plans, but Grammy was able to meet us for dinner!  What a treat.  The girls enjoyed watching all the kids come through dressed for Prom.

Starbucks breakfast in the hotel before we check out.

Sunday we spent at the Georgia Aquarium.   It was so neat!

we stopped for BBQ before we headed home.  It was raining hard!  Daddy was so sweet to pull the car up so we ddi not get wet.

and that is a wrap!

tired girl!
These moments we share our my favorite.  We look forward to the time we have with these girls and the get aways that are extra special.
