Snow and Ice!

We enjoyed a family day Monday with it being a holiday meaning schools and banks were closed!  It was a great day to be together.   The girls eagerly watched for weather updates as snow and ice was predicted.   Wednesday school was canceled.  I am so blessed to have the ability to work from home. Although it was a busy work day we were together!   Thursday was a delay opening and Friday no aftercare.    A busy week to juggle for sure.    The morning the girls woke up to a dusting of snow, which here is enough to warrant getting bundled up and playing at least for a bit.

Spirit Week:  Throwback Tuesday

Gracie had a perfect outfit picked out for the 80's, however could not take that it did not match and was BOLD.  So she went with Pink Lady!

County: Japan!   Aunt Katelyn had an authentic shirt from when Uncle Gabe went to China so we used that.   She rocked it!

Country Mexico.  We looked for a hat and this was a close as we found.  Added a bold color shirt and it was perfect.  Then Maggie declared she needed to take chips! ha.  That girl.

Friday Pink out! Including the hair.

The view Saturday morning!
Score... snow!

Daddy is such a trooper!

Home!

This week we spent a lot of time at home, no work travel, no weekend commitments and lots of "normal" stuff.

My view I think almost every night this week.  I am so blessed by this man and the daughters we are raising.    Parenting is no joke and hard, but moments like this make it seem to easy!

We are getting excited... counting down to Disney!

Gracie and Mommy

Mommy and Doodle!

I love costumes that get a lot of wear and they love!   Sure is our Wonder Woman!
Tonight we enjoyed having my Brother and SIL over with Ellie.  We sure adore that little one....and it's finally public they are having a second little one!   The girls are praying for a boy, but of course will be so excited for another girl too!

We loved the announcement!  So excited to see their family grow.  God is so good!

Back to Routine!

We are back to routine!  The girls went back to school Wednesday after having two days home with Ms. Tiffany and their friend Tag came to play too.   Early mornings are hard to get into when you have been off for almost 3 weeks.   But we all did well, until Friday I got a call from Ms. Wendy the school nurse saying Maggie had thrown up and needed to come home.    She is doing well now with no other issues.    We had a great weekend home playing, getting the house in order, Mommy and Gracie haircuts, and cooking!

Enjoying her big bear!

They still do love her!

Gracie decided she wanted to take a break from swim and run.  So we hit the pavement Monday night for a run.  It was cold!  We are going to have to do things inside until it warms up!  Every step counts!

This one ran for about 3 minutes after we got back because she wants to do what Sis does!

Home sick with Mommy working!    I love that I have this flexibility and can snuggle on days like this.

Starbucks and a little pampering.   It was time to get our hair cut!

Cooking on the patio with Daddy (the pink in her hair is washable...)

Wrapping up a Saturday night snuggling.

Christmas Break in Atlanta

We met up with Jimmy's parents Sunday after Christmas as they were going to have the girls in Atlanta with them and Tammy's family for the week.  The girls love the time they get to spend with all their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.  They are two blessed girls to have such a loving and involved family!

Grammy and Papa with the girls ready to go back with them!
Ice Cream with the girls!

Breakfast at Aunt Tammy's!
Even thought Jimmy and I both worked this week we did have a big celebration.  Our 14th wedding anniversary!   Massages and a great quite dinner out together.  I am so blessed to do life with this man!  The girls have a great man to model any prospective boyfriend and future husband after!   Not sure how we did not get a single picture!

We joke we have to detox after the trip, but that is the case any trip we all take and especially one with grandparents!

We celebrated Christmas with jimmy's family while we were down there for New Years.    We had so much fun relaxing together and laughing.  It was special that Joey was able to come in for the weekend since he had been in before Christmas while they are working to relocate to Pittsburg after Zachary graduates.
They figured out what was in the bag.....

They both asked for big bears!

Cuddle Doodle!

The bears were a big hit!

Showing Papa how to work the Fire Stick

The girls worked all week on a dance!

Maggie got cozy one night before bed!

We wrapped up the trip at the American Girl Cafe and store!   It is an annual event for the girls to go with Grammy.  This year I got to go too and loved watching them take it all in.   Of course they loved to have their dolls at the table and pick out a few things (they used their birthday gift cards).

Ready!

Love this expression of Gracie!

Happy 2016!   We are eagerly anticipating how God will lead our lives this year.   We have a family focus on health, knowing God more, and creating more margin together as a family.
