Gracie's 12th Birthday!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!   We loved celebrating you!  The past few years the girls have enjoyed a family weekend trip away for their birthdays.  Although this year since they were in Toronto Canada twice we opted for low key celebrations at home with a few friends (Kenzie, Lauren, and Lucy).

Even thought it was cold the girls all snagged a few minute in the pool! 

they were up until about 4am.... but managed to make it down for breakfast.  Pancakes and bacon on the grill with homemade buttermilk syrup.    

Gracie's actual birthday was a week later and she was in for a big surprise.  We had set 8th grade as the appropriate age for her to get an iPhone.  However, for various reasons we decided to go ahead and do it for her birthday.

Tradition-- Happy Birthday breakfast calls from the grandparents! 

Dinner selection:   appetizers including Tina's cheese ball and Grammy's chicken salad! 

We LOVE having Grammy and Papa so close!   Come on Gjysh and KK! 

Instead of singing her phone was hidden and rang "Happy Birthday pick up your phone". Priceless! 

12 years does not seem possible to this mama.  I have cherished every moment and am so proud of the lady she is becoming.
