Seabrook Beach Vacation 2013

Warning...LOTS OF PICTURES!   To me nothing captures a vacation and memories like pictures!   

Just to be...that was the prayer for our week!  Rest, relaxation and memories with family.    

We all needed this vacation more than ever!  This year we spent it at the beach with my family which included my parents, my sister and her crew and my brother with his family.  We had a great time together and making memories with our family and extended family.  

Headed to the beach....someone was already relaxing! 

More relaxing....Maggie is getting her snuggles in with Monkey and sucking her fingers as she knows that is soon to end.

Yes, both girls love a good coffee!  We hit the road for the beach Saturday morning with a stop at Starbucks!

Before we hit the island, Gracie had three requests for the week 1) Hyman’s hushpuppies, 2) a Java Java coffee, 3) a Pharmacy ice cream.  We checked all there off the list by Tuesday afternoon! 

Maggie was a pool girl.   She did warm up to the ocean and the beach with her preference to be at the beach and water line!   Each year she gets to be more adventurous so maybe next year she will want to go to the ocean without being forced to.  

We enjoyed so many things which the pictures will capture, but include: 

--Time with Gjysh and KK which is priceless.  We wish they lived closer to us!

Annual family picture at Angel Oak.  This was the first year we have gone that it rained, but it made for a neat memory (and a quick one).

We love these two!   Thanks Mom and Dad for a great family week! 

--Visits up town for ice cream, Java Java coffee, some shopping and hanging out.

The older kids did great in the pool and loved every second.  They were begging to go to the pool all week and we spent hours there.

--Date night while Gjysh and KK enjoyed a house full of the grandkids, all 8 of them at the same time.

We enjoyed dinner out, a walk to the beach and a quick ice cream! 

--Cousin birthday party.  We do this when we are together so the kids can celebrate together.   Cupcakes and a piñata are always fun!

Yes, Gracie liked to lay in the sun.  She did have spf 50 sunscreen on.  Jimmy asked "when did she turn 13?"

My girls!  I could not be more proud of them or love them more! They are loved beyond measure! 

Gracie did not miss a beat, everywhere was an opportunity for some gymnastics and tumbling.   Ms. Angela will be so proud!

I was so proud of Gracie, she actually touched the horse!  She was still a little cautious when feeding them so she really just set the apples and carrots on the ground.

--Annual John Deere Picture.  We do this picture for my grandparents of their great grandkids.  It is special as they were farmers and we grew up riding the John Deere with them around the farm. 

Gracie loved holding Ellie as much as she could.

So we do not require the girls to ride in their car seats while on the island.  Maggie enjoyed "driving" with Daddy often.  Although, he did say she will not make a good driver any time soon as she watched anything but the road!
