Summer Camp Week 1...Back into routine!

We decided to get back on schedule Sunday and rather than sitting around the house, went to church, out to lunch and then hit the pool with some friends (as if we did not have enough pool/ beach time the last week.  Ha).  It was an early bedtime for the girls as they both were going to have a full week and we had our 24 small group coming over.   The 24 small group is really sweet friends of ours all much older but add so much value to our lives!   I love any moment we get to visit, laugh, share life and learn what we should be praying for each other.  They are my balance and perspective some days that is much needed.

Monday we had two excited girls for summer camp.  We can’t say enough good things about Ms. Angela and Mr. Ernie. They love the girls so much and keep them very busy the old fashion way not with the TV/ iPads.   We also had two tired girls!   A full day of camp and then Gracie had her first swim team practice!

Thursday was our first swim meet!  We were all a little anxious and overwhelmed regarding what to do and where we need to be and when.   Gracie did her first 25 meter (down the pool 1x) in 37.13 seconds!    They then put her in relay, but I don’t know how they did.  Then the called the meet due to rain and a bad storm.   It was fun to do it with friends too!   The Allen’s have a girl Gracie’s age who is on team this year!

Saturday we loaded up and headed to Nashville.  One of my teammates was hosting everyone for a BBQ so we decided to make the most of the day there.  We also caught up with friends/ old neighbors that moved after school and the Busey’s who live in the Boro!   We had a great day.  The trip home was very late and long with rain, but we made it.

Love these 4 girls!   Sure wish we had more time together as we are always blessed by their friendship!  

For the first time since we had kids, we were all able to sleep in Saturday and Sunday.    Saturday the girls were not up until about 8 and Sunday the slept in until almost 9!  Praise God!
