Desk Day 2015 and Ohio Trip

What a whirlwind of a week!   The girls wrapped up their last days of summer camp.   We are so blessed by their wonderful coaches and leaders that love on them and encourage them to be all they are created to be.

Ms. Kayla and Gracie.   They loved all their coaches!

Headed on a field trip!  She looks so grown up!

Rope wall!
We also have been working hard on our jobs that earn the girls their commissions.   In an effort to teach about savings and big ticket items, Gracie on the way to Ohio was talking about wanting to fly. I share her eagerness to fly!   I explained to her it was very expensive for all of us to fly but if they wanted to save for their own tickers we would buy ours.   Maggie was not sure that was how she wanted to spend her money so that may not have been a good example since it involves the family!

Dividing out their commissions they earned

My favorite way to teach them responsibility with money.

This one has fun doing it.
One thing I am diligent about due to my own vision challenges is getting the girls in for their appointments.    Gracie needed her script checked and Maggie we needed to establish a base line.  We love Dr. Miller.  I have seen him for years and he has always been great about seeing the girls.    Gracie has seen some improvement but still needs glasses.   She was eager to pick out a new pair.  Maggie was most disappointed that she did not need them.

Cute new glasses ordered

A little sip of Mommy's Mocha while we waited.

The summer has worn Maggie out.  She feel asleep on the way home middle of the week and never woke up.  She slept from 6pm to 6am.

Sound asleep

Bella snuggles!

We enjoyed meeting the girls teachers for this year before we headed to Ohio.  They have very sweet teachers and friends.   We always enjoy running into past teachers and the sweet hugs they give and interest in the girls.     Its always adjustment rolling into a new year.  We are praying God's continued blessings and strength for a new year.

a pedi with Daddy while Mommy worked part of the day.  He as such a soft heart!  I love that about him.

4th grade desk day

Kindergarten here she comes!
It had been quite some time since we were in Ohio to see family.  So we took the opportunity before school started for a quick trip.  And quick it was.  My brother and Sister in Law agreed that Ellie could travel with us too so that was a special treat for us and the family we got to see.   We had quite a trip with just two full days but lots of hugs and memories made!    Mom and Dad, we love you and always enjoy every minute we get.  Thanks for making it so special!
30 minutes into the trip..one asleep and two on iPads!

It was such a pleasure to see my grandparents and extended family.  While its not often we get home, I cherish the moments we do get together!

Cousins are the best!

Gjysh and KK with their grand girls!

We went to Sauder Village.  It was a great time to see how life on a farm back in the older times was.

I would not want to do life with any other man!

Sidewalk chalk is always at a new level with Gjysh
