Soaking in time!

This week is one I look back on with a few milestones and funny things to document for the girls, but most of all it was just life together.   The weekend was filled with the girls and time to snuggle while Jimmy enjoyed the annual guys trip to Vegas.  We all enjoyed the weekend.

Started the week with Schmitz pumpkin muffins!   They are our fall favorite treat! 

We let the girls stay up to watch some of the election coverage.   Gracie lasted longer than Maggie, but still was out  quickly.

When Daddy is out the girls get to rotate sleeping with me.  Bella decided she needed Maggie snuggles too!  (and used her Monkey as a pillow). 

I can't imagine not having Bella.  Even thought she has cost us more than we ever imagined with her eye surgery, she has added so much joy and sweet moments for the girls.  

The yard is a mess as we are under a big project.  The girls have loved to see the equipment and watch the progress.

Silas and Ellie were over this weekend.   Gracie loves to snag snuggles until he gets too slobbery.

Enjoying a quiet Sunday morning before church. 

Milstones:
Gracie lost two teeth in one week, really just a day apart.

second tooth gone.  One more before we schedule to have braces put on.  

Funny or sweet things to document.
--Maggie said "we serve 3 God's:  The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit"   Such a hard concept to understand and even as adults we struggle.  I love to see her learning and processing her faith.

--Maggie as we were watching a movie "why do they have to pay of lunches (at school)?"   Made me giggle about how life has changed and is digital.  She "pays" for lunches but not at school, its electronic when we order.

--the election 2016 provided so many conversations and teaching moments regarding the freedom we have, the structure of our government, and the values we hold to as a family.    I had failed to realize how much the girls were talking about it at school until we were discussing it in the car one day as Gracie was studying for her world views test.   Maggie said "Trump wants to build a wall" and "Clinton should be in Jail".    The girls both had a moc election at school and Maggie voted for Clinton because she was a girl (and that is why the age to vote is set... ).    We reinforced that regardless of who is elected, our candidate choice or not, God is still God and he is King!   His will and provision over our country remains.
