School Year in Fully Swing

We have all adjusted to the start of school.   Gracie has had more homework than before (as we expected) and has really tackled that fully on her own.   There was a party of the 6th grade girls that she went to (and several mama's took the opportunity to grab coffee during it!).   We are so proud of her.  While we expected some bumps, and I am sure will have those, I tell everyone this is the best start to school we have ever had (and we have never had a bad one).   Both the girls are loving school!

It's been  great summer with Grammy and Papa being at our house!   We won't know what to do when their house is done, but so thankful they will be close!

Maggie Journal:
--she was so excited to sit by the teachers desk
--she originally said she had a "strict" teacher.... if so, no doubt that is just what she needs!  We love her teacher and so does she.
--Maggie declared "she takes a lot like me" (referring to her teacher)

Gracie Journal:
--The first morning she was anxious and we has tears as she was trying to navigate her anxiety.  Not being able to fix it, I sat down on the kitchen floor with her, holding her and praying over her and the day.  
--She quickly told us at the end of the day her teachers were really nice
--she talked all night about how great her day way!

We are so thankful for the environment the girls are in that provides them structure, a sound education, and grace when needed.
