To say the Schmitz family is special to me does not capture the full emotions. The girls I watched since they were all 4 babies, they were flower girls in our wedding, and their Mama is a dear friend to me. Sophia (the oldest) was married in May and we were not able to attend due to Gracie's 5th grade trip.
When the invitation for Chloe's wedding came we knew it would be a quick trip due to school being in session. We were going to fly up just Jimmy and I but the girls were insistent on going to see both Gjysh and KK (hard to go home and not take the kids!) and the wedding. So since we could not pull Gracie out of school, we left downtown at 4ish. We knew it would be a late night. We pulled in about 1:30am to Mom and Dad's house.
Saturday we slept in then hit Barry Bagels for lunch, time at the house to rest, Mr. Freeze for a yummy treat and wrapped up the afternoon and evening with the wedding and reception.

someone was a little tired and did not feel well starting the day. Lots of snuggles, downtime and a bath she was ready to party at the wedding.

Each of the girls have a hosta Gjysh has named after them. Maggie's has some curly edges!

Of course we snag quite a few pics before we go to the wedding while we are all dressed up. I never miss any opportunity to capture my favorite people. Dad's yard is perfect for photos. I need to plan a professional session there soon!

When the drive is long you stop in Knoxville for a treat to make the rest of the drive bearable some days. Duck Donuts is a new find and fabulous. Hot, Fresh, custom donuts!

we will be back!
The trip all told we were in the car roughly 18 hours and home less than 36 but we would not trade a minute of it!!
