Missing Curls! Yes, that is right Maggie cut her own hair on Sunday while they were playing. I was out shopping and Jimmy addressed it. It was all I could do to not laugh, as her face was quite funny. She cut a big chunk, but we still can’t figure out where on her head as the curls are quite good at hiding it! We have made it very clear we only cut paper (last year you may remember she cut her shirt at school).

47 years of Marriage...that is what Jimmy’s parents celebrated on Monday. My prayer is that the girls know the marriage heritage of their family and that it did not come easy, but with lots of work and commitment to choose to be together even when life gets tough! Lynn and Major, you provide such a rich example of marriage to us and we are blessed!
This week we have “lived” in Nashville it has seemed. Jimmy was there on business Monday and Tuesday and I was there Wednesday and Thursday. While we love Nashville we are planted in Chattanooga and will just have to settle for traveling and balancing the needs of our family.

We spent this weekend in Atlanta. The Martin side of the family does an extended family Christmas party as my in-laws house. It is always fun to be with them and good to see the extended family and they all enjoy seeing the girls.

This year, or at least past several months has proven to be a challenge for our house in the area of sleep. I joke that our girls as babies were sleeping through the night between 6 and 7 weeks and now at ages 4 and almost 8 they wake up each usually once a night for “snuggles” or water! really? So I wont lie, staying the night where the grandparents can get up in the middle of the night or with our early risers at 5:30am on the weekend is priceless. I do remind myself that when they are older and don’t want snuggles daily, I will be begging for these midnight moments!

| Gracie sleeping in the car of course! |
 |
| Maggie talked the entire way home from Atlanta and fell asleep as we were pulling into the neighborhood! really? |
