Summer!

We are itching for summer.   We have decided to have the backyard sodded, which means we need to kill what is back there very soon.  We took advantage of Sunday being so nice and had our small group over (well those that were free) to play.   we thought how fun to do a slip-n-slide!  Well...they don’t make them like they use to when I was a kid.  They are much more fancy, but not nearly as effective.   We managed to throw a few sprinklers on it as well and the kids knew no different.
Sisters!

My she is looking like such a grown up lady!

All big girl now!

A little water play time!

Chilling a bit, it was a little cold at first.

Gracie said she had fun, but was soar all week from landing on her stomach!

Chilling with Mommy a little.

Our girls were exhausted after such a fun weekend they were sound asleep before 7pm!    Wow.   We got some great snuggles and then some downtime together before a work week.  This week will be a challenge with a very long memory very for Gracie, the Lords Prayer.  But we will tackle it and she will do great.

They came home one night and just wanted to snuggle and watch a little show while we got dinner together.

Tuesday I was asked to participate in our church’s mother day video they are doing.  So I spent about 2 hours recording my “story” as a working mom and finding balance in the busyness.  I can’t wait to see how it looks.  They will share it with the church on Mother’s Day!

Field Day!   This is a fun day at school to go and watch all the kids participate in everything from hula hooping to tug or war!  I love it and so does Gracie.  I also love to watch her interact with all her friends and catch up with their parents too.

Hot shot!

These two…. love their friendship.

So Silly!

She has mastered the hula hoop!

Mommy and Gracie!

These two are so silly.  A day at school is not complete without a silly picture!
PreK:  no final update yet, but it looks like CCS will likely add this for the fall.   We continue to pray that this will all be finalized and we will have both girls at CCS this fall!

Jimmy planned a Saturday guys day including a Braves game in Atlanta, so Friday afternoon after Field Day for Gracie the girls and I headed down to Atlanta to spend the weekend with Grammy and Papa.   It was a good get away with some sweet family time.   We also go to watch my niece Ally in the school play.

She insisted on wearing her cross necklace.  Such a big girl.

Sometimes she is not really into pictures, but I try to snag them anyway!

Sisters!

Grammy and the girls!

Papa and the girls!

Mommy with my sweet girls before the play!
This is the backpack Maggie picked out on her Mommy night last week.

The backpack is as big as she is!

Dinner at the Varsity before the play!   Papa and Maggie had their own table!
We loved seeing Ally in "Big River".  (Maggie was so tired by the time it was over she was not at all into pictures, but she did great sitting through it)

Love these cousins together!
