Happy 7th Birthday Maggie!

Sunday we celebrated Maggie's birthday one last time.  She seems to like it spread over several weeks!  Makes me laugh.  Her request for her birthday dinner was pancakes, homemade buttermilk syrup with candles in the pancakes.   Daddy made it back from the weekend mens retreat to grill the pancakes. They were yummy!!!

Maggie enjoyed celebrating her birthday at home and with Tag who we were able to have spend time with us for the weekend.   Tag and Maggie are good friends.

The rest of the week moved fast and I said joking on several occasions could have been close to a panic attach.  We made it to Friday night and as we crawled into bed we declared it was a success!     Bella had her ophthalmology appointment for her cataracts.   We were lucky (said part joking at we were not planning on it being so soon) they had a cancelation for the next day.   So we juggled works schedules, the girls schedules, parent teacher conferences, car details (my car was in the body shop for a small repair), and worked through the next 48 hours.   We made it!!

She looks so sad but she can now see.  We had guessed she had lost 70% of her vision.  

I must admit we were planning on a round of drops but this was beyond my expectations.   All for Bella's eyes to heal 

We all felt this tired after this week.

Happy girls.  Headed to meet Uncle Gabe, Aunt Kat, Ellie and Silas for lunch.   We always think about how blessed we are they live close.
